Thank you campers and parents for an awesome week of camp. It truly was pleasure running camp this week with such a great bunch of curious young minds.
Although we did not get to everything on our list, with a big push today we were able to finish up our transpiration estimations and calculations (most trees we projected were giving off an average of 1-2 liters of water every three days). We were also able to complete a bunch of demonstrations on Bernoulli’s Principle early in the day and tackle the following lab exercises:
Shaving cream rainbows, scooter-bot races, tornado-in-a-bottle projects, Cartesian divers, and the astronaut challenge. All in all it was a great push down the home stretch to get some real science under our belts.
We hope to have each and every one of you back again next summer. And be sure to check our website for over 200 pics posted from today’s activities.
Lastly….a big warm thank you to Michaela, Liv, and Mo for doing such a wonderful job in helping all of our campers throughout the week.

Panther Science Camp Day Three:
Today we were able to bang out two huge projects by doing the tie-dye shirts and the self-designed race cars.
Knowing that these projects would take some time to complete we performed three entertaining demonstrations during the first hour of camp....the hexane slide, the rising tissue paper, and the magic rocks-exploding balloon! We got a lot of ooohs and aaaaahs from the campers so we think they enjoyed the show and the science behind them.
We were able to to take an all-camp tie dye picture at the end of the day and we encourage everyone to wear their shirts tomorrow for our last day together. That way we can take one more picture (since a couple of the campers had to leave early).
Over 150 pictures of day three will take you through our day...please enjoy. Some of our videos have also been tweeted our @rozenchemistry if you want to view them.
It is going to be another one on the hot side tomorrow....so before to hydrate often and get that sunblock on before camp.
See everyone tomorrow and try to get a good sleep tonight.

DAY TWO RECAP AND PICTURES BELOW:
We had a very active day today and all the campers worked through it with great diligence and effort. I don’t want to jinx things, but this is an exceptionally great group of campers….lots of sharing of supplies and ideas to make our challenges and lab exercise most productive.
On our website, I will let the pictures do the talking in terms of all that we were able to tackle today.
Tomorrow we have our work cut out for us….stomp rockets, astronaut challenge, tie-ye shirt, sugar pine race cars, bottled tornadoes, etc.
It's going to be a another sunny and hot day so be sure to bring lots of water and sunblock in the morning.
Enjoy the pics….see you tomorrow.
